KIRIGOME WARE SAKE BOTTLE

Tokkuri or table decanter for sake in a tapering, conical form with a slightly everted lip. Of Kirigome Ware porcelain glazed in clouding eggplant and turquoise. From the Kirigome kiln in Miyazaki Town, Miyagi Prefecture. Edo period, early 19th century.
