Koro or incense burner in a compressed disc form. Of pale-red cloisonné enamel on three conical gilt bronze legs, the lid in a flame-like conical shape of 24 tapering sections of gilt metal. Signed on the reverse in silver wire with the Ando mark (the Ando Cloisonné Enamel Company of Nagoya). Showa era, circa 1955.

With the tomobako or original box, inscribed on the exterior of the lid: Shippo Koro or Cloisonné Enamel Incense Burner, and signed: Ando Shippo Ten Tsukuru or Made by (the) Ando Cloisonné Enamel Company, and sealed.

According to the Ando Company, this incense burner was made in the mid 1950s for a broadcasting company. The inspiration was a radio broadcasting tower.
