ANDO COMPANY, NARUTO WHIRLPOOL ENAMEL VASE
Vase in a large swelling form with an everted rim and a design of the Naruto whirlpools, of cloisonné enamels with silver mounts. The design executed extensively in musen wireless technique, with some details in silver shosen reduced wire technique. Sealed on the reverse with the Ando mark in silver wire. Circa Showa 50 or 1975.
The Ando Company confirms that this exhibition quality piece required a year to complete and the collaboration of the top seven artisans at their Nagoya workshop. They specify that the following artists worked on the project:
